My First Boyfriend
"Don't get nothing on you today in school Sequoya,be careful.",my mom yelled as I put on my clothes for school. I was wearing my new blue shirt from Children’s Place with the short sleeves and white flowers at the bottom. I was also wearing my dark denim jeans with blue flower prints on the back pockets. I had my hair out and in Shirley Temple curls. I felt good that day, as I had everyday that I managed to get to the corner store, Papi’s, to buy some Munchos chips before school started. I came in and sat down in my seat, the first seat in the first row as the teacher had put us in alphabetical order. I said good morning to Mrs. Robinson, the teacher, who I always adored for wearing such a beautiful, brightly colored wardrobe. I waited as the class began to fill up with my fellow classmates. My best friend Brenay sat down next to me while fumbling around in her bag for her glasses. Once she retrieved the blue framed glasses, she got sight of my new shirt and quickly complimented me on it. I replied a quiet thank you noticing that Mrs. Robinson was beginning the day’s lesson. She started off with sentences, then Math, and finally the best part of the day I believed, History. We learned all about the Pilgrims and Christopher Columbus. The bell rang signaling that it was now twelve o’ clock which was lunch time. I began to gather my lunch bag when I noticed a boy coming down the hallway towards me with Mrs. Robinson. She walked up to me and introduced me to him. His name was Alan. He was kinda thin, light skinned, and had green eyes and light brown hair. I told him my name and he had a hard time pronouncing it. Mrs. Robinson told me that I had to show him around because he was new. I first took him to the lunchroom because of course it was lunch time. He barely spoke any words at first and only nodded. I then showed him where the Library and Boy's bathrooms were. At the end of the day while I was putting on my white and blue jacket, he came up to me and asked me what was my name again. I told him he could call me my nickname because he could't pronounce my real name. He said thanks for showing him around and then just stared. I asked him if something was wrong and he just said," I want to ask you something." I thought he had forgot where the Boy's bathrooms were so I pointed out one down the long hall. He laughed and said,"No I wanted to know if I could go with you?." This being the term meaning to have a boyfriend,I laughed a little. When I laughed, he changed facial expressions and began to walk away. I tapped him on the shoulder and replied a quick yes and asked him if he could come over after school to do homework. He said yes and from then until about two or three weeks later he was my first boyfriend.

re: PERSONAL NARRATIVE #1
The assignment is as follows: Think of an interesting, humorous, sad, tragic, exciting story from your past. Try to make it something that happened middle-school or before. One must is that you use sensory details throughout your narrative. By using sensory details you will give the reader a picture in their mind so that they can better relate to the action.
The story could be of, for example, your first trip to Florida or your first trip to Disney World or the first time you rode the Dumbo ride.
